Therefore, owing to increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in the country, the company is facing unprecedented and unexpected rise in demand of the masks, hand sanitizers and toilet seat sanitizers since Monday evening. As per the recent news both the Dettol handwash and Dettol sanitizer are facing supply shortage. With the extreme leverage provided by the Indian Government under the name of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, RB India is witnessing brisk sales of handwash products and sanitizer. Therefore, with the rise in the demand of Dettol in the country, the key ingredients that are required for the manufacturing of alcohol-based sanitizers such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Ethyl Alcohol too gained popularity in terms of sales as well as cost. Isopropyl Alcohol is a colorless, flammable chemical with a strong odor, antiseptic features and contains the ability to kill microbes. Being one of the key ingredients used in pharma and hygiene industries, the Coronavirus outbreak is expected to create a surge in the Isopropyl Alcohol demand across the globe along with several other pharmaceutical ingredients.
