Wood to Handle Operations and Maintenance for Freepoint Eco-Systems

Wood, a leading global consulting and engineering firm, has secured a three-year contract to operate and maintain the Freepoint Eco-Systems facility located in Hebron, Ohio. This state-of-the-art plant, covering 25 acres and featuring a 260,000 square foot warehouse, is recognized as one of the largest advanced recycling facilities globally. The facility will utilize advanced pyrolysis recycling technology to transform approximately 90,000 tons of end-of-life plastics into a valuable petrochemical feedstock, known as pyrolysis oil, through a specialized depolymerization process. This feedstock is crucial for producing various applications, including food-grade and medical-grade plastic packaging.

As part of this contract, Wood will manage all operations and maintenance at the facility, creating job opportunities for over 100 individuals. The company will assist Freepoint Eco-Systems in achieving operational readiness, focusing on developing comprehensive safety and maintenance management systems.
