Nocil limited a Mumbai based company has petitioned against the cessation of anti-dumping duty, saying it would affect the domestic market.

The company had once before, in December 2018, approached the Centre regarding the review of the same but the plea got rejected that time. Now the company has argued that the import of rubber chemicals from countries like China an d Korea will intensify if the anti-dumping duty cease to exist which in turn, will hit the domestic market.

The court ruled that the Centre’s assumption that imports at dumped priced is not going to affect the local market is not proper. Thus, the court directed a review and the extension of suitable anti-dumping duties.
