Egypt is about to build its first polybutadiene rubber factory in Africa

An association of Petrojet and Saipem has won a bid to build the first ever polybutadiene rubber factory in Egypt and Africa. The project will be established in ETHYDCO complex in Alexandria having a capacity of 36,000 tons per year. This project is worth a total value of INR 10500 million.
The Egyptian Ethylene Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) has a total production of 381,00 tons of polyethylene and, 19,000 tons of butadiene and its derivatives.
