MAIRE has revealed that NextChem, operating under the auspices of Stamicarbon, a nitrogen technology licensor, has clinched a significant deal. This entails a licensing and equipment supply agreement for an advanced urea melt and granulation facility set to be established in Egypt. The project is commissioned by El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC). Positioned approximately 100 kilometers southeast of Cairo, this facility is slated to achieve a notable production capacity of 1,050 tons per year (tpy) of urea.

This innovative solution is intended for deployment in the inaugural industrial-scale facility capable of producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from green hydrogen and biogenic CO2 in Mosjoen, Norway.
