Mid-Nov 2025: China’s DAP Prices Decline 4%, Morocco Expands Global Reach

The international Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) market started to feel some pressure in mid-November 2025, seeing some softening demand in various regions while buyers backed off on their purchasing in DAP supply. China still maintains a solid focus within the DAP market globally, with exporters even lowering offers as the interest internationally is very weak and producers are slow to continue to reopen offers into the winter storage season, demand. India continued to be a driver in the global sentiment by pulling down regional benchmarks from aggressive buying through tenders for whatever the purchase type but still impacting up the regional flows of supply. Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia showed some sales, but overall trading does seem slow. The U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America remain static in demand with minimal application. The caution from buys and the supply will likely produce an overall continued pressure on the DAP global market and should maintain its undue pressure into year end.

Selenis has effectively manufactured recycled PET chips using terephthalic acid sourced from Circ®, a textile-to-textile recycler based in Virginia. The chip production took place through a series of batches at Selenis' pilot plant in San-Giorgio, Italy. By utilizing inputs recovered from polycotton textile waste, Selenis has created high-quality PET chip, which has been further processed into DTY yarn. This yarn will play a crucial role in product development as Circ prepares for additional capsule launches. Selenis is leveraging the success of this initial collaboration phase and is committed to advancing towards an offtake partnership to support Circ's inaugural industrial facility. Eduardo Santos, Head of Corporate Strategy at Selenis, remarked that the monomer synthesis showed a performance comparable to virgin terephthalic acid. He expressed optimism about the consistent quality of Circ's monomer output and anticipated future commercial success. Santos pointed out that the Circ partnership complements Selenis's existing mission and goals for a more sustainable textile industry. He further stated their anticipation of expanding upon this collaboration and providing support for Circ's forthcoming commercial production trials.
