Indian Oil Corporation plans to invest INR 25000 crore in green energy projects

Indian Oil is intensively investing in its Research and Development and focus on moving into battery technologies, coal gasification, 2G and 3G (second and third generation) ethanol, hydrogen fuel cells biofuels and hydrogen-CNG. It will invest in setting up model facility for 3G ethanol plant (use of algae for ethanol production) and setting up 2G ethanol plants (use of cellulose for production of ethanol).
