BP Plc, a multinational oil and gas company of Europe, is eyeing to strengthen its foothold in the nation by growing its business in the divisions under fuel stability and mobility solutions. However, the company looking at the long-term margins is longing natural gas to be included in the GST regime. When questioned over the faith on targeting India, Bernard Looney, the chief executive of BP Group, said that India is an extraordinary country with immense potential to grow exponentially in the next 20 years. He added that GST has encouraged federal initiatives by easing the trade, if natural gas is included in that, this could provide relief for the overseas business activities. He also addressed about its current partnership with Reliance Industries, the joint venture that plans to build 5500 retail sites in next 4-5 years, which apart from selling petrol will also equip the facility that offers mobility solutions like EV charging. The project will also assist in providing new opportunities as it will offer around 80000 jobs for network building.
