U.S. Tetrasodium EDTA Prices Maintain a Bearish Trend in December 2022

USA: Tetrasodium EDTA prices in the U.S. market are predicted to decrease in the upcoming week of December 2022. EDTA is a chemical that is added to several Foods & Beverages to help preserve their color and flavor.
Falling prices of formaldehyde, the main component of Tetrasodium EDTA, and other elements, including the number of inventories on hand in its domestic market, all contribute to the downward price trend in the U.S. Furthermore, this week saw the closure of the Tetrasodium EDTA market in China, which was made domestically using formaldehyde (neutralization process). The operational rate of downstream factories kept declining, demand weakened, and the market price of formaldehyde in Shandong decreased due to the impact of public security incidents. An important factor was that the formaldehyde market had a little turnover, a build-up of inventory, and a weak and declining market. In addition, the USA imports primarily from China prices of the product are weak at the moment and are predicted to decline in the future.
One of the key factors fuelling the industry for Tetrasodium EDTA is the rising demand for Food & Beverages caused by the expanding world population.
