The United States Omeprazole market shows no significant increase in value over the previous month. The increase seen during November was negligible and did not lead to a change in trend in December. Towards the end of December, buyers became more cautious with what they were buying, maintaining stable prices as long as they had adequate supply from channels supplying from Asia. Sales of both prescriptive and over-the-counter omeprazole remained consistent throughout December, driven by medical necessity, and limited competition from generic brands. Since omeprazole is such a frequently prescribed medication, it makes sense for buyers to continue with established buying plans rather than making impulse purchase decisions. The supply side remained stable throughout December, and no major issues arose that would have altered the supply side. Looking forward, the supply attitude is starting to improve with the anticipation of stocking for January 2026; therefore, buyers are preparing to potentially increase prices early next year since they are concerned about a short-term supply squeeze during January 2026. However, any increase will likely be moderate.
