Tempest Minerals Ltd (TEM) provides an update on the progress at the Remorse Target, a 4km long coincident base metal and geophysical target within the Company’s flagship Yalgoo Project. TEM has received preliminary approval for drilling in the central area of the target. Based on recent ground-truthing work, TEM has determined that an expanded program of approximately 5000 meters is necessary. Approvals are in the final stages, with work expected to commence in June or July.

TEM's landholding in the Yalgoo Region of Western Australia encompasses over 1,000 km² of 100% owned tenements highly prospective for base and precious metals. The Company has been actively exploring the project and has identified an entirely new mineralized belt, with previous drilling indicating the presence of previously unknown mineralization. The Yalgoo Project currently hosts numerous promising exploration targets, with the Remorse and Sanity targets being the Company's current priorities.

TEM previously announced the discovery of large-scale copper and zinc anomalies at the Remorse Target, which were further corroborated by the detection of an overlapping geophysical anomaly during a large-scale regional EM survey covering much of the central portion of the Yalgoo project. In late 2023, the Company announced its intention to drill test the Remorse Target and has since been diligently navigating regulatory requirements amidst challenging demand-driven delays, while also conducting additional field and preparatory work.

Phase 1 approval Based on the initial geochemistry results, TEM designed a targeted drill program to test specific structural targets potentially associated with higher copper values identified in the wide-spaced surface geochemistry. The Company began the approval process for this work in late 2023, and approval was granted in Q1 2024.

Phase II involved further ground truthing and detailed geological mapping of the Remorse Target in Q1 2024, which revealed a significantly larger geological target zone that mirrors the broader geochemical footprint of the anomaly. As a result, an expanded drill program has been designed for this larger area, involving approximately 5000 meters of RC drilling. Permits for this expanded work are in the final stages of approval with regulatory bodies, and heritage surveys are planned for early June 2024. Drilling is expected to commence shortly thereafter.

The upcoming steps for TEM include securing the remaining approvals and heritage clearance necessary for the expanded drilling program. Following this, the Company will proceed with awarding contracts to relevant service providers. Once these preparations are completed, drilling at the Remorse Target will commence, marking a significant advancement in the exploration of this promising area.
