Stargate Hydrogen, a leading innovator in alkaline electrolyser systems for green hydrogen production, has forged a strategic partnership with BGR Tech Limited, a top engineering company based in Chennai, India. This collaboration marks Stargate Hydrogen’s debut in the Indian hydrogen market, which is poised for significant growth. India, the world's third-largest economy, is projected to experience a 35% increase in energy demand by 2030.

Under the agreement, Stargate Hydrogen will supply a Stellar series stack for BGR Tech's inaugural demonstration installation. The deal also outlines plans to pursue additional large-scale electrolyser projects and explore opportunities for local manufacturing with BGR Tech to meet the increasing GH2 project demands from 2024 to 2030. Furthermore, Stargate will offer extensive engineering support throughout the system definition phase and will scale the solution to provide additional electrolyser stacks for future installations.

The partnership reflects a mutual commitment to advancing clean energy solutions in a rapidly expanding market. By securing this alliance, Stargate Hydrogen aims to contribute to India's energy future while capitalizing on new opportunities in this vital sector.

The Indian hydrogen market offers significant potential for green hydrogen production, driven by its large scale and strong government backing through initiatives such as the National Green Hydrogen Mission. With plans to develop substantial electrolyser facilities, India is well-positioned to become a key player in the clean energy transition. Stargate Hydrogen's partnership with BGR Tech highlights its dedication to advancing this transition in the Indian hydrogen market.

Marko Virkebau, CEO of Stargate Hydrogen, expressed excitement about partnering with BGR Tech and expanding into the Indian market. He highlighted that this collaboration underscores Stargate's commitment to quality by combining their high-performance hydrogen stacks with BGR Tech's exceptional system engineering skills. The partnership aims to deliver a reliable, efficient, and competitive hydrogen production system specifically designed for Indian projects. This move aligns with India's commitment to clean energy and complements Stargate's mission to advance cost-effective green hydrogen production, contributing to sustainable energy solutions on a global scale.

Ms. Priyadershini Raghupathy, Founder and Managing Director of BGR Tech Ltd, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Stargate Hydrogen. She highlighted their eagerness to integrate Stargate's advanced electrolyser stacks with BGR Tech's proprietary Balance of Plant. Raghupathy emphasized their focus on executing alkaline water electrolyser-based hydrogen production projects in India. With BGR Tech's Chennai facility equipped to design and manufacture comprehensive hydrogen value chain equipment, the partnership aims to boost capabilities in delivering clean energy solutions.
