Chemicals manufacturer Scott Bader announced recently that the company has purchased a facility in Mocksville, North Carolina to convert it into a new structural adhesives and gelcoats production plant.
The investment comes in the back of the company looking to tap the north American market. The new facility will provide additional capacity to the company in order to meet the customer needs and leverage the interest in their primer-less structural adhesives thereby amplifying the success the company already has in the product portfolio.

Structural adhesives and gelcoats have major application in the construction sector. The demand for adhesives stood at around 20 million tonnes in 2020 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5% during the upcoming years.
