Rama Phosphates Brings Another Sulphuric Acid Production Unit Onstream

Rama Phosphates, one of the leading fertilizer manufacturing company in India has announced the commencement of Sulphuric Acid and its derivative products w.e.f. 23^rd February. The new production unit is located at its previous factory premises at Indore.

The manufacturing facility includes around 55000 MTPA capacity for Sulphuric Acid along with the capacities of 9000 MTPA of Chloro Sulphonic Acid, 20000 MTPA of Liquid Sulphur Trioxide (SO3), 33000 MTPA of 23-27% oleum while 25000 MTPA of 65% oleum. With the addition of 55000 MTPA to its existing capacity, the company’s annual Sulphuric Acid capacity would be totaled to 155000 MTPA from its Indore production unit.

Rama Phosphates is indulged in producing phosphatic fertilizers and mixed fertilizers such as NPK and chemical commodities like oleum and Sulphuric Acid.

As per ChemAnalyst, “As around 50 percent of Sulphuric Acid in domestic market is utilized in downstream Phosphate manufacturing, the commencement of this new Sulphuric Acid production unit will assist the company in becoming more self-sufficient towards manufacturing of phosphates. In addition, it would even improve its overall finances for expansion of its fertilizer manufacturing capacity in the long run.”
