Polypropylene Prices Soar as Imports from the US Tumbles

Polypropylene (PP) prices in the domestic market witnessed another upsurge weighed by the delayed imports from the US due to a spate of turnarounds implemented in its large-scale manufacturing plants due to freezing temperatures.

As Indian industries are presently operating at appreciable rates to make up for the loss incurred in the previous quarters, its sturdy demand from downstream industries has also contributed in adhering an upward push in its prices. Consequently, Polypropylene price in the domestic market were increased by INR 3000 per MT in all grades.
