Mallinda Inc, a leader in advanced polymer technology, has announced the commercial launch of its groundbreaking Vitrimax Versatile Hot Melt (VHM) Resin, a revolutionary resin system designed to transform the manufacturing and recycling of high-performance composites. This innovative vitrimer-based technology combines the exceptional mechanical properties of thermosets with the flexible processing capabilities of thermoplastics, enabling manufacturers to achieve unprecedented levels of sustainability and recyclability in their composite production.

The launch follows successful commercial-scale production validation, with the Vitrimax technology demonstrating batch consistency at 200L reactor scale and the ability to manufacture up to 2.1 tons per batch. A single batch can produce up to 10,000 square meters of composite materials. As a result, multiple Fortune Global 500 companies are already collaborating with Mallinda to tailor VHM resins to their specific requirements.

Vitrimax VHM Resin represents a significant advancement in the field of sustainable manufacturing by addressing a longstanding challenge in composite material production—economic recyclability. Mallinda’s novel molecular-level design for circularity allows Vitrimax resins and their composites to be recycled profitably, at a lower cost than their virgin materials.

The company targets achieving 100% recycling and re-use of production scrap through its Vitrimax VHM customers and is also focused on supporting end-of-life circularity programs for composite products.

"Vitrimax VHM represents a paradigm shift in composite materials," said Philip Taynton, CEO of Mallinda. "We’ve successfully bridged the gap between performance and sustainability, offering manufacturers unparalleled flexibility in scalable manufacturing and processing while ensuring the structural integrity required by modern applications."

Vitrimax technology offers several key benefits, including infinite recyclability, manufacturing flexibility, field repairability, and self-healing properties. These features make it a perfect solution for a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine, and sporting goods. The resin is optimized for use in the prepreg process and has applications in UAVs, wind energy, hydrogen pressure vessels, and urban air mobility.

"The industry has long sought a solution that doesn't compromise between performance and sustainability," said Eduardo Torres, CEO of MTorres America. "Vitrimax VHM delivers on both fronts, providing a truly circular solution for composite manufacturing."

Mallinda’s innovative Vitrimax VHM Resin is expected to play a key role in reducing waste and environmental impact, while also helping manufacturers meet the growing demand for sustainable and high-performance composite materials.

Mallinda Inc is a Denver-based company that specializes in Vitrimer resin systems. It has recognized a significant potential of advanced composite materials as a key market for its innovative technology.
