As per the announcement by Ampol, Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia to come onstream in September after a prolonged maintenance turnaround. Maintenance operations at the refinery are scheduled to be completed by final week of August followed by its phase restart in September. The refinery underwent a maintenance turnaround earlier this May, which was further extended for pending repairs and inspection activities and to manage the aftereffects of Covid-19 on the finances of the company. Ampol abides with the decision to restart Lytton refinery under hopes for better revenues by exportation of petrochemical commodities with the help of integrated supply chains. Lytton refinery is expected to operate at full throttle by October with Ampol keeping a check on the demand and supply gap due to prevailing uncertainties in the global market.
