CFR Hamburg: The Hydroquinone market in Germany saw an increasing trend after a month-over-month decline. Increased inquiries from the downstream Pharmaceutical and Food industries have significantly impeded the expansion of the Hydroquinone industry worldwide. Several factors, such as rising energy prices, COVID-19 market restrictions, and increasing inflation, have impacted European market sentiment.

Manufacturers are compelled to increase their production rate to meet the increased demand from the downstream sector due to falling stocks. Firm operating rates and higher energy costs further supported the price of Hydroquinone in the European region. Variable costs on production values increased due to growing inflation and high energy prices. The issues in Nord 1 Stream pipeline, which transported natural gas from Russia to Germany, have further supported the rising price trend of Hydroquinone. German buyers started trading activities due to recent increases in orders and a lack of supply in the local market, which increased the price of Hydroquinone. The region is also experiencing a labor shortage due to inflated transportation costs. Additionally, cargo bunching and shipment cancellation caused port backlogs that hampered the continent's economic activities.

On the other hand, the Covid limitations in the Chinese market and surging demand from the downstream sector impacted trading. Nevertheless, the Russian-Ukrainian war's loss of trade momentum caused supplies to be delayed, and actions, including rerouting, kept the price of Hydroquinone higher than anticipated. Hydroquinone prices in Germany have increased, defying the decreasing trend, with a tendency of 2.18% this month.

According to ChemAnalyst, the market's constant rise from the end-user sector would increase Hydroquinone demand. The energy crisis will cause mild output rates even if the government has been advised to cut back on their electricity use to conserve energy for the home sector over the winter. However, it is projected that supply issues will continue in the upcoming quarter, likely significantly boosting Hydroquinone pricing patterns in the European region.
