Flames Engulf Bharuch Chemical Factory of India Peroxide Ltd, Leaves No Casualties

India: Late on Friday night, a serious fire erupted at a chemical factory located in Dahej GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation) in Bharuch. Firefighters worked tirelessly for three hours to extinguish the flames. Despite the intensity of the incident, no casualties were reported, according to officials. India Peroxide Limited Company's premises experienced the blaze, which occurred at one of its units where Hydrogen Peroxide was being produced, as verified by officials.

The flames have been successfully contained and thankfully, no individuals were harmed as employees promptly evacuated the premises. Currently, the root of the fire remains undetermined while an evaluation of damages is underway.

As the incident occurred, 16 employees promptly evacuated the premises and notified the company authorities. Subsequently, approximately 10 firefighters from various companies in Dahej and Ankleshwar Nagar Palika swiftly arrived at the scene to respond. Additionally, the fire resulted in harm to other sections of the factory as well.

Fire faced a major challenge while fighting the blaze at the unit due to the presence of highly inflammable chemicals. The three-hour-long battle was finally won, and the situation was brought under control. Upon receiving news of the incident, officials from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Dahej police, Vagra Mamlatdar, and health and safety officials rushed to the site. However, as of now, no offense has been registered by the Dahej police, who are waiting for reports from the district administration.
