ExxonMobil has chosen to partner with JL Goor, leveraging their industry knowledge and established market presence, to facilitate growth within the healthcare sector of Ireland and the United Kingdom (U.K.). This collaboration builds upon an already well-established long-term relationship between the two entities.

JL Goor will gain access to ExxonMobil's extensive healthcare portfolio, which provides the foundational materials for a diverse range of applications, including medical supplies, infection protection products, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory supplies. The portfolio comprises Vistamaxx performance polymers, ExxonMobil polypropylene (PP), Exact polyolefin elastomers, and Achieve Advanced PP. These materials are meticulously designed to align with the evolving needs of the healthcare market, ensuring the availability of materials that are not only safe but also conducive to health.

Gertrud Masure, ExxonMobil's Market Development Manager responsible for polypropylene, Vistamaxx, and Exact within the EMEAF region, emphasizes the significance of the Ireland and U.K. healthcare sector within the broader European context. She states, "The Ireland and UK healthcare sector plays an important role in the broader European market. With Ireland serving as a significant supplier for medical devices and electronics, ExxonMobil has made the strategic decision to bolster its dedicated healthcare team by tapping into JL Goor's expertise to drive market growth in the region."

The collaboration with JL Goor represents an endeavor to make ExxonMobil's healthcare portfolio more accessible to a wider spectrum of the industry. Notably, there has been a notable surge in interest in Vistamaxx for medical and pharmaceutical applications. This heightened interest can be attributed, in part, to the industry's transition away from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and the unique mechanical properties offered by Vistamaxx. These properties encompass elasticity, high impact resistance, and flexibility. As such, Vistamaxx is exceptionally well-suited to supplant PVC in applications such as IV bags, tubes, ostomy pouches, and bio-reactor bags.

Gearoid Clarke, the Managing Director of JL Goor Materials, expresses enthusiasm about the extension of their partnership with ExxonMobil into the healthcare sector. He remarks, "Building on a successful long-term relationship with ExxonMobil, we are delighted it has been extended to the healthcare sector. The Vistamaxx MED products, which were introduced at the end of last year, and ExxonMobil PP Med products will add significantly to, and complement, our existing medical portfolio, strengthening our already robust supply position in a market we understand, value, and are committed to."

The selection of JL Goor as a collaborative partner was driven by the company's distinguished reputation as a leader within the healthcare industry of Ireland and the U.K. ExxonMobil is firmly convinced that their combined efforts will unlock the full potential of their healthcare polymer portfolio, fostering comprehensive growth within the sector.

Kateline Rooze, ExxonMobil's Regional Sales Manager, underscores ExxonMobil's unwavering commitment to the healthcare industry, a commitment that spans several years. She notes, "Having played an important role in the healthcare industry for many years, ExxonMobil is committed to fulfilling the potential in this sector. The expertise of JL Goor will play a key role in helping to build market and brand awareness for our healthcare portfolio. ExxonMobil is supporting expected increases in demand with new Vistamaxx and PP assets."
