Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) has recently unveiled compelling assay results derived from brine testing at the newly drilled Bosydaba#1 well within the Green River Lithium Project located in Utah, US. These results confirm the significant presence of lithium and bromine within the Mississippian Units across the tenure. The assayed brine showcased impressive concentrations, with lithium levels reaching up to 139 parts per million (ppm) and bromine levels reaching 4,604 ppm. These findings are notably akin to those observed at the nearby Paradox Lithium Project's JORC-compliant mineral resource.
According to Anson, the Mississippian Units at the Green River site extend approximately 790 meters thick, boasting lower salt concentrations characterized by low levels of iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and boron. This composition bodes well for the lithium extraction process, enhancing its efficiency and viability.
Moreover, the recent round of drilling has not only corroborated Anson's modeling and interpretations but has also confirmed the existence of a substantial, supersaturated brine aquifer characterized by high pressure, estimated at around 5,100 pounds of force per square inch (psi). The Bosydaba#1 well remains open for further testing and the production of samples intended for distribution to off-take partners, to be facilitated at the Green River Sample Demonstration Plant.
Anson's strategic approach involves utilizing these samples to inform the design of a production flow sheet while concurrently generating significant quantities of battery-grade material for testing purposes and negotiation with partnership prospects. The availability of fresh brine from the Bosydaba#1 well holds immense significance, as it is expected to yield more accurate test results for integration into the production flow sheet design, being closely representative of the brine to be utilized in actual production processes. Furthermore, this accessibility enables the production of larger volumes of battery-grade material, facilitating extensive testing by potential off-take partners.
The lithium content observed in the brine surpasses expectations, with levels 40% higher than the assay's minimum value within the lithium grade range, while the bromine grade exceeds projections by an impressive 177% compared to the maximum value initially utilized in the exploration target calculations for the Green River Lithium Project. Additionally, the thickness of the Mississippian Units surpasses prior estimations by 263%.
Overall, Anson Resources' latest assay results underscore the promising potential of the Green River Lithium Project, highlighting the substantial lithium and bromine reserves present within the Mississippian Units. These findings not only validate the project's viability but also position Anson as a key player in the burgeoning lithium market, poised to capitalize on the growing demand for battery-grade materials in various industries.
