Yara Acquires Urea Business of Tata Chemicals

Yara International ASA, a leading organization of sustainable crop nutrition solutions has acquired Tata Chemicals’ Urea Business to increase presence in the second largest fertilizer market. Tata’s plant has an annual production capacity of 0.7 MTPA ammonia and 1.2 MTPA urea. This acquisition is valued at INR 29.9 Billion, comprising of a net capital value of INR 9.23 Billlion and INR 20.6 Billion worth other assets.
