Indian Oil Signs a Pact with Cummins Technology over Diesel Exhaust Fuel

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, is Maharatna company owned by Indian government is primarily engaged in hydrocarbon exploration and its refining. The company has signed an agreement with Cummins Technologies India Pvt Ltd., a company involved in the production and innovation of fuel engines, power generators and other interlinked technologies.

The pack signed between the two companies is over bulk dispensing of IOC ClearBlue which is a brand of Indian Oil’s Diesel Exhaust Fuel (DEF). Cummins will be utilizing this DEF in their BS VI vehicles having advanced SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems. Commenting on the collaboration, Subimal Mondal, the Executive Director of Indian Oil, stated that the increasing preference for IOC ClearBlue in diesel vehicles having Cummins SCR technology is due to its supreme quality standard and AdBlue certification.

Further supporting this agreement, Vice President (Engine Business Unit and Component Business) of Cummins India mentioned that the emerging era of BS-VI vehicles will help in minimizing NOx emission by utilizing the right quality of IOC ClearBlue.
